Etratech, through the years, has been committed to delivering the highest quality and most reliable products to our customers. As part of that commitment, we’ve further enhanced our automation and testing processes and have added some leading-edge equipment to our Burlington, ON manufacturing facility. Specific to a new product launch, we have acquired a fully automated End of Line Test Cell incorporating a BOSCH material transfer system, a Kurtz Ersa Powerflux dropjet fluxer, and a Nordson conformal coating cell. This new equipment will benefit all our customers by improving our already top-notch testing capabilities, and by ensuring our customers get the best quality deliverables – quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.
Our new End-of-Line Test Cell includes a new punch and die depanel station located on the left side of the tester. After the depanel process, an operator loads the product a pallet on the Bosch conveyor system. The tester has a terminal alignment station, a double test station (to test two parts simultaneously), a pass marker/reject off-load station, and many other features. Failed product is contained within the tester on a conveyor system which requires a password to access. Passed product is delivered in the pallet and prepared for shipment to the customer.
The new Kurtz Ersa Powerflux DropJet Fluxer is used to selectively flux new product prior to wave soldering the production our Seho lead-free wave soldering machine. The flux is jetted in small droplets on the bottom of the printed circuit board only in the areas that need to be wave soldered thus keeping the rest of the board free of flux residue and potential contamination.
Our new Nordson Conformal Coating Machine includes a SL-940E Select Coat Conformal Coating Systems complete with two spray heads allowing us to selectively conformal two boards at one time. The cell includes a Nordson Select Cure UV-9 Cure Module which instantly cures the Dymax 984 LVUF conformal coating allowing us to continue to process the product immediately.
