BURLINGTON, Ontario – September 20, 2006 – Etratech proudly unveiled its state-of-the-art 20,000 square foot expansion to its employees, Municipal, Provincial, and Federal politicians as well as the media at a ceremony on the front lawn of the company’s head office in Burlington.

Michael Desnoyers, Etratech President and CEO, took the opportunity to thank all Etratech employees, as well as his business partner Jim Ambrose, representing Argosy Partners, for their dedication and support to Etratech over the years.

Mr. Desnoyers also thanked the City of Burlington for their “can-do” attitude in helping with the necessary approvals required for the project. Mr. Desnoyers stated emphatically “this magnificent new addition demonstrates our commitment to Burlington in that we are saying we are here to stay!”

Burlington Mayor Rob MacIsaac offered his congratulations to Etratech on their success and commitment to the City of Burlington.

Construction of the facility began in February, 2006 and will allow Etratech to triple its manufacturing floor space. In addition to the increased production area, Etratech is also acquiring additional high-speed electronic assembly and inspection equipment to increase production capacity to meet existing and future customer demands.

The building was dedicated to the late William J. Cooke, a local Burlington businessman who developed the Cooke Business Park where Etratech is located. Michael Desnoyers, Etratech President and CEO, noted at the ceremony that Mr. Cooke was a long time personal friend and Etratech supporter who assisted in the company’s growth over the past 17 years. A bronze plaque honouring Mr. Cooke, was unveiled by his widow Louise Cooke and will be permanently displayed in the company’s main entrance.

Etratech began operations in 1989, in a small one-room facility on Graham’s Lane in Burlington. In 1993 Etratech moved to a larger facility on Cooke Boulevard, and a year later acquired a second building next door to accommodate the addition of Surface Mount Assembly equipment. The company soon outgrew these facilities and in 1997 moved to the existing facility also on Cooke Boulevard.
